Uno G1 16″ Drumhead

Evans G1 Clear 16-inch Uno Battern Drumhead (UB16G1): Classic Open Tone and Versatile Performance

The Evans G1 Clear 16-inch Uno Battern Drumhead (UB16G1) is a classic and versatile single-ply drumhead known for its bright, open, and resonant tone. While the “Uno Battern” designation is an older Evans term for their original single-ply heads, in modern Evans nomenclature, this head is essentially equivalent to an Evans G1 Clear. Its 10mil film construction allows for maximum sustain and sensitivity, making it a foundational choice for drummers across a wide range of musical genres.

Key Features for Resonance and Sensitivity

The UB16G1 drumhead is engineered with specific attributes to deliver a consistent, high-performance sound:

• Single-Ply 10mil Film Construction: This head features a single ply of 10mil film, providing an optimal balance of brightness, resonance, and sensitivity. This construction allows the drum’s natural tone to shine through with plenty of sustain, characteristic of a classic single-ply head.

• Clear Finish: The clear film produces a bright, open, and vibrant sound. It emphasizes the attack and allows for full resonance, making it suitable for situations where a lively and un-dampened tone is desired.

• Maximum Resonance and Sustain: As a single-ply, un-dampened clear head, the UB16G1 offers the longest possible sustain and the most open sound from your drum. It allows the drum to “sing” with full harmonic content.

• Exceptional Sensitivity: The 10mil thickness makes this head highly sensitive to even the lightest stick touches, brush strokes, or mallet rolls. This responsiveness makes it a favorite for drummers who require nuanced dynamics.

• Level 360 Technology: Incorporates Evans’ revolutionary Level 360 Technology. This innovative collar design ensures a perfectly level fit on the drum shell’s bearing edge, maximizing contact all around the drum. This results in easier tuning, an extended pitch range, and optimized sound quality and response across all tension points.

• Versatile Application: The UB16G1’s classic, open sound makes it incredibly versatile. It’s an excellent choice for a broad array of musical styles, including jazz, fusion, pop, R&B, and lighter rock, or any genre where a resonant, articulate, and expressive tom or bass drum resonant head is preferred.

• Made in USA: All Evans drumheads are proudly designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA, upholding high standards of quality and consistency in their manufacturing process.

The Evans G1 Clear 16-inch Uno Battern Drumhead (UB16G1) is a timeless and foundational drumhead, offering drummers a bright, resonant, and highly sensitive option for their 16-inch tom or as a resonant bass drum head, allowing the full voice of the drum to be heard.
