Evans EQ black nylon double-pedal patches: non-slip, flexible nylon that softens beater attack and protects the bass drum head.

The Evans EQ Double Bass Drum Pad is a reinforced, two-layer self-adhesive patch designed for the resonant (front) bass drum head, providing enhanced dampening and durability around the port hole or mic opening. For drummers who push the limits of their kick drum’s front head — through aggressive miking setups, large port holes, or extended high-volume use — the EQ Double Pad offers twice the protection and a more substantial feel reduction of unwanted low-frequency overflow.

Built with Evans’ quality foam and Mylar construction, the Double Pad applies cleanly, stays firmly in place under all conditions, and comes off without adhesive damage when the head is eventually changed. The thicker build makes a noticeable difference in the bass drum’s overall sustain profile, tightening the low-end and helping the kick cut through in the mix with added clarity and definition.
