The Evans Power Center Reverse Dot takes the same concept as the standard Power Center — a centre reinforcement dot for extended durability — and flips it. The reinforcement patch is applied to the underside of the head rather than the top playing surface, which means the added stiffness and mid-range punch of the centre dot is preserved, but the playing surface remains completely smooth. The result is a subtly different feel: the surface responds more uniformly across its entire area, without the tactile transition between coated film and bare dot that some players notice on standard Power Center heads.

The Reverse Dot construction is favoured by players who prefer the tonal benefits of a reinforced centre but want the playing surface to feel and behave like a standard single-ply coated head throughout. Particularly popular for snare in recording settings where surface consistency translates to a more even stick rebound across the head.

Reverse Centre Dot: Reinforcement patch on the underside — same durability and mid-range punch as the Power Center, but a completely smooth, consistent top surface.
Single 10-Mil Ply: Open, resonant tone with the natural sustain and sensitivity of a classic single-ply coated snare head.
Recording-Friendly Surface: Uniform top surface produces consistent stick rebound across the entire head — preferred in recording settings for even response.
