Craftsmanship and Sound

The heart of these bongos lies in their construction. The 6″ and 7″ shells are meticulously crafted from hand-selected, aged Siam Oak wood.1 This specific type of wood is prized in the world of percussion for its durability and for the warm, resonant tones it produces. The Jamjuree finish highlights the natural grain of the wood, creating a unique and elegant appearance. The bongos are topped with high-quality water buffalo skin heads, which are known for their durability and for producing crisp tones and a superb response to a player’s touch.2

Heads and Hardware

Durability and tuning stability are ensured by the robust hardware. The bongos feature black powder-coated Classic-Pro hoops and large 1/4″ diameter tuning lugs.3 This hardware is not only designed to withstand the rigors of regular use but also provides a sleek, modern look. The large tuning lugs make it easy to achieve precise tuning, and a tuning wrench is conveniently included, so you’re ready to play right out of the box.4

Conclusion

Overall, the Tycoon Percussion Ritmo Series Bongos are a versatile and reliable instrument. With their blend of classic sound, professional features, and beautiful design, they are a fantastic addition to any percussionist’s collection, especially for those new to the instrument.
