Schlagwerk Veneer Surface 2 in One Barista Agile Base Cajon

Versatile Sound, Intuitive Control, and a Rich, Warm Aesthetic

The Schlagwerk Veneer Surface 2 in One Barista Agile Base Cajon is a highly adaptable instrument designed for percussionists who demand both rich tonal variety and an elegant appearance. Part of Schlagwerk’s innovative Agile Base series, this cajon combines the responsive nature of the Agile system with the classic “2 in One” snare mechanism, offering unparalleled control over your sound, from crisp snare effects to pure conga-like tones. Its beautiful “Barista” finish provides a warm, inviting look that complements any stage or studio.

The cajon’s body is crafted from high-quality birch, known for its resonant and balanced tonal properties. The playing surface features a durable and responsive veneer, often with a unique grain pattern highlighted by the “Barista” finish, which gives it a rich, dark brown, coffee-like appearance. The core innovation lies in the Agile Base design, which incorporates a finely tuned “Active Snare System” that ensures an incredibly sensitive snare response across the entire playing surface. The “2 in One” feature allows for easy removal or engagement of the internal snare wires, letting players instantly switch between a bright, articulate snare sound and a traditional, snare-free Peruvian cajon tone, emphasizing the pure wood sound. This combination of the Agile Base’s sensitivity and the 2 in One’s versatility makes the Barista Cajon an exceptionally expressive and professional-grade instrument.
