The Meinl MPP-12 Jawbreaker Practice Pad features a specially formulated hard rubber surface that more closely replicates the firm feel of a real snare drumhead than softer gum rubber alternatives. If you want practice sessions that truly prepare your hands for stage conditions, the Jawbreaker’s harder surface delivers the closest simulation available in a practice pad.

The harder surface also builds hand strength and control faster than high-bounce pads — there is less assistance from the rebound, so your muscles do more work on every stroke. The result is technique that is strong, consistent, and stage-ready when it counts. The 12-inch format matches a standard snare drum for accurate size reference during practice.

Jawbreaker Hard Rubber: Firm surface closely replicates real snare drumhead feel for realistic, stage-relevant practice.
Strength Building: Reduced rebound compared to softer pads means hands work harder per stroke, building endurance and control.
12-Inch Diameter: Standard snare drum size so spatial muscle memory transfers directly to the kit.
