A Powerful and Visually Striking Djembe

The Tycoon Percussion Supremo Select Chiseled Orange Series 12-Inch Djembe is a professional-grade instrument that stands out for its exceptional sound, unique appearance, and durability. Designed for the serious percussionist, this djembe delivers the authentic, powerful tones of a traditional African djembe while offering a modern, high-quality build.

Craftsmanship and Sound

The heart of this djembe is its shell, which is constructed from hand-selected, aged Siam Oak wood. This wood is renowned for its durability and for producing a wide range of tones, from deep, resonant bass notes to sharp, cutting slaps. The traditional bowl shape of the djembe is designed to maximize the authentic African djembe sound. The drum is topped with a hand-picked, premium quality goatskin head, which provides a superior feel and response.

Design and Hardware

The djembe features a unique Chiseled Orange finish, which is part of the Supremo Select Series’ original lineup, giving it a distinctive and eye-catching look. The drum is 22 inches tall with a 12-inch diameter head, making it a comfortable size for most players. The hardware is black powder-coated, including deluxe hoops and reinforced side plates with 5/16″ diameter tuning lugs, ensuring both a sleek aesthetic and reliable, long-lasting performance.

Usability and Versatility

This djembe is an excellent choice for a variety of musical contexts, from traditional African music to modern funk, jazz, and rock. It is designed to be lightweight and portable, making it ideal for the working musician. A tuning wrench is included, allowing for easy and precise adjustments to the head tension, so you can always achieve the perfect sound.
