Pearl PCTK-1810 Compact Traveler 2-Piece Drum Kit

The Gig is Calling. Pack Light.

For too long, drummers have faced the same dilemma: the incredible sound and feel of an acoustic kit comes at the cost of space and convenience. Hauling heavy shells, navigating tight stages, and finding room to practice in a small apartment has been the price of admission.

Until now. The Pearl Compact Traveler is a revolutionary solution designed for the modern drummer. It’s not just a small kit; it’s a real, tunable acoustic drum set ingeniously engineered to go wherever the music takes you, folding down to an unbelievable 5-inch profile that you can carry with one hand.

Deceptive Power, Authentic Feel

Don’t let the slim profile fool you. The heart of the Compact Traveler is its 18-inch bass drum, which delivers a deep, punchy, and round tone that consistently surprises players and sound engineers alike. It provides the satisfying low-end thump you need to drive the band, whether you’re playing an acoustic coffeehouse set or mic’d up on a club stage. The frame-mounted 10-inch snare provides a crisp, dry, and responsive voice that is perfect for articulate sticking and snappy backbeats.

The true genius of the Compact Traveler lies in its commitment to authentic playability. Unlike practice kits with fixed sounds, the Compact Traveler features standard, tunable drum heads. This crucial design choice transforms it from a simple convenience into a legitimate, customizable instrument. Crave a fatter kick sound? Swap the stock head for an EMAD. Want a warmer snare tone? A coated Ambassador is all it takes. You get the real rebound and tonal control you demand, in a package that defies convention.

Your Stage, Ready in Seconds

Designed for the musician on the move, the Compact Traveler redefines what it means to be portable. Setup and teardown happen at lightning speed, freeing you from being the last one to pack up after the show. The entire folded kit can be lifted with an integrated padded handle, making load-in a one-trip affair. For buskers, educators, and drummers playing in tight spaces, this kit is a game-changer. It offers the footprint of an electronic kit with the undeniable punch of an acoustic set. When the gig is over, it slides easily under a bed or into a closet, reclaiming your living space.
