Meinl Slaptop Series Makah Burl – Black Cajon

Ergonomic Playability, Rich Tones, and Stunning Aesthetics

The Meinl Slaptop Series Makah Burl – Black Cajon is an innovative percussion instrument designed for drummers and percussionists who seek a versatile, portable cajon that can be played comfortably in a lap or on a stand. Its unique “slaptop” design positions the playing surface horizontally, offering an ergonomic alternative to traditional upright cajons, allowing for a more natural and relaxed playing posture. Crafted with a Baltic Birch resonating body and adorned with a striking Makah Burl frontplate against a black finish, this cajon delivers rich, resonant tones with excellent projection and captivating visual appeal.

The playing surface features two distinct zones: a crisp snare side and a deep bass side, providing a wide array of sounds from tight, snappy slaps to resonant, woody bass notes. The integrated snare wires are adjustable, allowing players to dial in their desired level of sizzle and sensitivity. The forward-facing sound port ensures that the sound projects directly towards the audience, making it ideal for acoustic performances, unplugged sessions, or busking. Its compact size, comfortable design, and beautiful finish make the Meinl Slaptop Makah Burl – Black Cajon a perfect addition to any percussion setup, offering authentic cajon sounds with superior comfort and style.
