100% Maple Shells & Precision Edges

Unlike many “mini” drum kits that rely on inferior woods, the AQ2 toms and bass drum are crafted from a 7-ply, 5.8mm blend of Canadian and Chinese Maple. Maple is the industry standard for delivering a mellow, warm, and highly balanced tone with excellent low-frequency punch. Sonor cuts the shells with sharp 45-degree bearing edges, which greatly enhances projection, attack, and tuning accuracy.

SmartMount Isolation & TuneSafe Lugs

To ensure these smaller drums sing to their maximum potential, Sonor utilizes the SmartMount Suspension System. This minimalist steel mount attaches to just two lugs without ever touching the wooden shell, allowing the 8″ rack tom to resonate freely without acoustic dampening.

Furthermore, the entire kit is outfitted with Sonor’s newly designed AQ cast lugs, which feature the internal TuneSafe system. This mechanism physically prevents the tension rods from loosening under heavy playing, ensuring your drums stay perfectly in tune throughout a long set.

While the rest of the kit is maple, the Martini pack uniquely includes a 12″ x 5″ Steel Snare Drum. This provides a sharp, bright, and cutting “pop” that contrasts beautifully with the warm maple toms, ensuring your backbeat always cuts cleanly through the acoustic mix.

  • No! The kit includes a Bass Drum Lift (Elevator) that raises the entire drum off the floor. This allows your standard, full-sized bass drum pedal beater to strike the dead-center of the 14″ head for maximum tone and power.

• Can the tom holder hold a cymbal too?

  • Yes. The included CTH 4000 is a highly versatile dual-purpose mount. It features a ball-clamp for the 8″ tom and a dedicated boom arm for a crash or ride cymbal, drastically reducing the number of heavy tripod stands you need to carry to a gig.

• Does this shell pack actually come with a snare drum?
