The 5A You Know, Now With VicGrip: The Vic Firth 5A VicGrip
The Vic Firth American Classic 5A VicGrip is the iconic 5A with a comfortable, tacky grip sleeve on the butt end — perfect for drummers who struggle with stick slippage. The grip covers the natural hold point, giving you a secure, sweat-resistant feel without altering the balance or performance of the stick above the grip zone.
Crafted in the USA from premium American hickory and individually ink-stamped for weight and pitch, the 5A VicGrip is a simple, practical upgrade for players who want a firmer hold without switching to tape.
-
Made in the USA: Premium American hickory, hand-selected and crafted to Vic Firth’s exacting standards at their Mill in Newport, Maine.
-
VicGrip Sleeve: A tacky grip applied to the butt end for a secure, sweat-resistant hold — no tape needed.
-
Individually Ink-Stamped: Every stick is matched for weight and pitch — no two sticks in a pair will ever feel or sound different.
