DescriptionSpecificationsReviews

The Evans EQ Pad bass drum muffler: a hinged pad that lets the head sustain before damping it, fixed to the shell with Velcro.

The Evans EQ Pad is an internal foam dampening insert designed specifically for bass drum applications, offering a quick and easy way to add consistent muffling to your kick without taping pillows or blankets inside the shell. The EQ Pad rests against the inside of the resonant or batter head and applies gentle, even pressure that controls sustain and tightens the bass drum’s attack — ideal for recording situations or live gigs where a punchy, controlled kick tone is essential.

Available in sizes to suit common bass drum diameters, the EQ Pad is reusable, durable, and leaves no adhesive residue. Simply remove it for a more open, resonant sound when the style calls for it, and reinstall when you want a drier, more defined kick. No modification to the drum is required — the EQ Pad simply sits inside the shell and does its job.
