Wincent W-22PR Poly Rods

Heavy-duty nylon poly rods with adjustable O-rings for versatile, bright-toned percussion in low-volume settings.

The Wincent W-22PR Poly Rods are a versatile alternative sound source, blending the softness of brushes with the punch of drumsticks, perfect for drummers seeking dynamic expression in low-volume settings. Crafted with heavy-duty nylon bristles (2.2mm diameter) and a 15.8mm soft-grip rubber handle, these rods measure 390mm in length and feature adjustable O-rings to control bristle spread, allowing players to shift from a soft, brush-like response to a stiffer, stick-like attack. They offer a feather-light feel with a bright cymbal tone and more volume than nylon brushes, making them ideal for acoustic drum sets, cajons, or genres like jazz, folk, and “unplugged” performances.

The rods support rim-click techniques for added versatility, and their robust construction ensures durability, with bristles securely integrated into the handle to prevent shedding. Users praise their balanced weight, smooth harmonic sound, and ability to achieve the right attack on acoustic kits and cajons, though the 25 bristles are less suited for a true brush-like sound, and heavy use may cause wear over time. Manufactured by Swedish brand Wincent in Gränna, these rods reflect a commitment to quality since 1992, trusted by drummers like Mikkey Dee (Motörhead) and Chris Dangerous (The Hives).
