The AJ1 has the 0.595-inch diameter of a 5B, but its long taper and narrow neck give a substantial feel with quick response.
Dark cymbal sounds, focused tip
The neck is sizable enough to draw dark sounds from cymbals, and the small teardrop tip keeps everything in focus.

A long taper produces a back-heavy feel with more flex and a faster response.
