The Evans Genera HD Coated is a single-ply snare batter with a high-density (HD) coating that is significantly thicker and more durable than a standard white coated head. The heavier coating adds mass to the surface, softening the initial attack and adding mid-range body while extending the head’s lifespan under aggressive playing. Unlike the HD Dry series, the Genera HD does not feature vent holes — it produces a warmer, fuller snare tone with moderate sustain rather than the ultra-dry response of the vented variants.

This is the head for hard-hitting drummers who want a warm, punchy snare sound with exceptional head life. The heavy coating takes repeated rimshots and cross-stick strokes without wearing out quickly, making it an ideal choice for gigging players who need a reliable, consistent tone over hundreds of playing hours without frequent head changes.

High-Density Coating: Thicker coating than standard white heads — adds durability, warms the tone, and adds body to the mid-range attack.
Single-Ply Construction: Open snare character with the warmth and added sustain control provided by the heavy coating — more sustain than the HD Dry variants.
Built for Heavy Hitters: Exceptional longevity under aggressive playing — fewer head changes, more consistent tone across extended gig and rehearsal schedules.
