Responsive 7.5-inch drum pads and large 10-inch cymbal pads provide comfortable playing surfaces in a compact footprint. The adjustable layout supports a natural posture, making the move between electronic and acoustic kits feel less disruptive.
The DTX402 module combines 287 drum and percussion voices with 128 keyboard sounds. Its ten onboard kits can be edited and overwritten, giving you useful variety for practice, covers and first recording projects.
The KP65 kick tower and included FP6110A bass-drum pedal deliver the beater movement and rebound drummers expect from an acoustic kit. The KP65 also accommodates a double-foot pedal, giving your technique room to develop.
Ten built-in training functions work on timing, dynamics, endurance and song performance. Exercises such as Rhythm Gate, Song Part Gate and Fast Blast turn everyday practice into clear, measurable progress without requiring a subscription.
Yamaha’s DTX402 Touch app provides a visual way to adjust kit sounds and access its Challenge Mode training programme. It makes deeper settings easier to understand and gives developing drummers a structured route through new skills.
Connect music through the auxiliary input, practise privately through headphones, or send audio and MIDI to a computer over USB. Yamaha’s Rec’n’Share workflow also helps you capture performances with a compatible smart device.
The durable steel rack stays planted during practice, while adjustable pad and cymbal positions help the kit fit your reach. It folds down when you need to reclaim floor space or move the kit between rooms.
It suits beginners and developing drummers who want a conventional bass-drum pedal feel while keeping the kit compact and suitable for home practice. It is the middle model in the DTX402 series.
The DTX432K upgrades the kick system to a KP65 kick tower with an included FP6110A pedal and uses the HH65 hi-hat controller. The DTX402K uses a quieter beaterless KU100 kick unit instead.
Both models use the KP65 kick tower and FP6110A pedal. The DTX452K adds Yamaha’s TP70S three-zone snare, while the DTX432K uses a single-zone snare pad. Choose the DTX452K if rimshot and cross-stick articulation matter to you.
Yes. Yamaha specifies the KP65 kick pad as compatible with a double-foot pedal. A double pedal is not included; the kit is supplied with one FP6110A single pedal.
Yes. The module includes a PHONES/OUTPUT jack, an auxiliary input and USB audio/MIDI connectivity. Smart-device use with DTX402 Touch or Rec’n’Share may require a compatible cable or adaptor, depending on the device.
