Remo Silenstroke 12″ Mesh Drum Head

Remo Silentstroke 12″ Mesh Drum Head: Quiet Practice with Realistic Feel

The Remo Silentstroke 12″ Mesh Drum Head is a revolutionary practice accessory designed to significantly reduce the volume of an acoustic drum kit while maintaining a highly realistic feel.1 It is one of the most popular and effective solutions for drummers who need to practice quietly in apartments, late at night, or in noise-sensitive environments.

Quality Construction and Ultra-Quiet Performance

The core feature of the Silentstroke head is its proprietary material, which allows for near-silent playing.2

• Single-Ply Mesh Material: The head is constructed from a single layer of durable, fine mesh material.3 This material drastically absorbs the impact of the stick, reducing the volume of the drum by up to 90% compared to a traditional head.

• Realistic Rebound and Stick Feel: Despite the low volume, the tension-adjustable mesh provides a natural, springy rebound and stick response that accurately mimics the feel of a real drumhead.4 This is crucial for practicing technique without compromise.

• Tension Rod Compatibility: The mesh material fits into a standard drum hoop and utilizes the existing tension rods, allowing the drummer to adjust the tension for the desired feel and sensitivity, just like a normal head.5

Convenient and Practical Features

The 12-inch size is designed for quick and easy integration onto a tom or snare drum.

• Easy Replacement: The Silentstroke head replaces any standard 12-inch batter head (top head) on an acoustic drum. Installation is identical to a regular drumhead.

• Acoustic Drum Conversion: When installed across the whole kit, the Silentstroke heads effectively convert an acoustic kit into a virtually silent practice kit.

• Electronic Drum Potential: This mesh head is also an excellent surface for use with acoustic drum triggers, as it is durable and transmits very little acoustic noise, allowing electronic sounds to be heard cleanly.6

The Remo Silentstroke 12″ Mesh Drum Head is an indispensable tool for drummers who need a practical, low-volume solution for practice while preserving the feel of an acoustic kit.
