The Evans EMAD (Externally Mounted Adjustable Damper) in tom hoop size offers the legendary EMAD damping system in a format suited for smaller bass drum or specialty tom applications. The large-diameter single-ply film provides a resonant open tone, while the interchangeable foam damper rings — included in two widths — allow you to dial in precisely the amount of attack focus and sustain reduction you need without reaching for external muffling materials.

The EMAD’s damper system attaches to the outer ring rather than the head surface itself, preserving the head’s natural vibration across its full diameter. This design delivers a controlled, punchy response with a clean decay that sounds great both live and in the studio.
