The Evans Uno Genera Coated snare batter delivers the warm, natural tone of a standard single-ply coated white head at an accessible entry-level price — the ideal choice for students, younger players, and drummers upgrading from the factory heads that came with a budget kit. The Genera Coated’s 10-mil single-ply construction produces an open, resonant snare sound with the warmth characteristic of a coated playing surface.

While it may be the most affordable head in Evans’ snare range, the Uno Genera Coated uses the same fundamental construction approach as the rest of the Evans lineup — properly tensioned, properly made, and properly performing. A great starting head that teaches you what a quality coated snare sound actually is before you start exploring the more specialised options higher in the range.

Single 10-Mil Coated Ply: Warm, open snare tone — the entry point to understanding what a well-made coated head sounds and feels like.
White Coating: Adds warmth and moderate brush response — suitable for light pop, funk, and general-purpose snare use.
Entry-Level Value: Evans construction quality at the most accessible price — ideal for student kits, backup heads, and first-time upgraders.
