No Tape. No Grip. No Slipping: The Vic Firth 5A Puregrit
The Vic Firth American Classic 5A Puregrit solves the age-old problem of sweaty hands mid-performance. Its unique textured finish provides a natural, secure grip across the entire length of the stick — no tape, no add-ons, just the wood itself offering the grip you need, exactly where you need it.
Crafted in the USA from premium American hickory and individually ink-stamped for weight and pitch, the 5A Puregrit is the 5A profile you already trust, now with a grip upgrade built right in.
-
Made in the USA: Premium American hickory, hand-selected and crafted to Vic Firth’s exacting standards at their Mill in Newport, Maine.
-
Puregrit Texture: A textured surface machined into the stick for a secure, natural grip — no tape or add-ons needed, even when your hands are sweating.
-
Individually Ink-Stamped: Every stick is matched for weight and pitch — no two sticks in a pair will ever feel or sound different.
