To maximize the acoustic potential of the steel shell, TAMA equipped this drum with their newly-developed 3.0mm-thick Ultimate Steel Mighty Hoops. These 10-hole, extra-thick outer-bend flange hoops produce an open and warm sound while maintaining the rounded attack of a standard triple-flange hoop. The extreme 3.0mm thickness yields extra power, volume, and resonance, guaranteeing a clear attack even when the drum is tuned down to low or mid ranges.

30-Strand Snare Wires

Standard snare drums typically utilize 20-strand wires, but the LSS1465 is fitted with TAMA’s MS30RL14S 30-strand steel coil snare wires. This wider wire bed delivers a bright, bold snare sound with an aggressive bite, ensuring the snare’s articulation is not buried even in the loudest, most dense band mixes.
