Rydeen is Yamaha's entry acoustic drum set, built so beginners and developing drummers can start on real Yamaha drums. This 22-inch configuration comes with the HWRD hardware set, so everything except cymbals and a throne is in the box. It is finished in Black Glitter (BLG).
The 6-ply, 7.2mm poplar shells have 45-degree bearing edges with a 1.5mm radius, for a clear, focused attack that is easy to tune. The toms and snare have 1.5mm triple-flanged steel hoops, and the bass drum has steel hoops with a colour-matched inlay.
Two 22.2mm diameter CL940LB tom clamps and a pipe clamp hold the rack toms, and a versatile ball mount gives you the freedom to set them at any angle you want.
The Rydeen's mounting points follow Yamaha's standard 22.2mm specification, so you can add other Yamaha-standard hardware, such as extra cymbal arms, clamps or percussion mounts, to build the setup that suits you as your playing develops.
The bass drum's batter head has a double film around the edge, which acts as a built-in mute for a tight, powerful kick sound. The front head is a Yamaha Ebony head with a ring mute.
Yamaha's HWRD set includes both a boom and a straight cymbal stand, a hi-hat stand, a snare stand and a single chain-drive bass drum pedal. Every stand has double-braced legs for stability and Yamaha's easy-grip wing bolts, and the pedal's sub-frame under the rocker shaft adds durability for hard playing.
Five drums (22"x16" bass drum, 10"x7" and 12"x8" toms, 16"x15" floor tom and 14"x5.5" snare) with two CL940LB tom clamps, plus the HWRD hardware set: a boom cymbal stand, a straight cymbal stand, a hi-hat stand, a snare stand and a single chain-drive bass drum pedal.
