Roadshow is Pearl's complete package for the rising drummer: a 22"x16" bass drum, 10"x8" and 12"x9" toms, a 16"x16" floor tom and a 14"x5.5" snare, with double-braced stands, a chain-drive pedal, a throne, cymbals and sticks. Everything you need to get started is in the box.
The bass drum, toms and snare are formed from six plies of bonded Asian White Poplar, 7mm thick, molded through a heat and pressure curing process into a single resonance chamber for strong shells with optimum tonal power. Hand-cut 45-degree bearing edges contact the head with precision, drawing a better sound from each shell and making the drums easier to tune.
The 14"x5.5" snare is 6-ply poplar like the rest of the kit, for a dry, cracking volume. It responds with crisp sensitivity at the lightest touch and a powerful, belting tone when you dig in. Eight dual tuning lugs give even head tension, and a quick strainer switches the snares on and off. The S-50 snare stand's rotating clutch basket holds it at the right angle.
All lugs and fittings are sturdy castings for stable tuning, with triple-flanged hoops. Locking tom arms keep the toms at the right angle, so your set-up stays where you put it.
Telescoping spurs keep the bass drum planted with a no-slip grip on the floor while you play.
The H-50 hi-hat stand, B-50 boom cymbal stand and S-50 snare stand sit on double-braced tripods, with die-cast height joints and tilters that lock in practically any position. The H-50 delivers smooth pedal action, and the B-50's wide base keeps your cymbal grounded.
The P-50 shares many specs with Pearl's more advanced pedals: dual chain drive, a Uni-Lock beater angle cam and a side hoop clamp for quick foot response and set-up. It is light, and its radius rod frame folds when you pack up.
The height-adjustable D-53 throne has a spindle adjustment and a vinyl-top seat cushion that keeps you comfortable for hours of practice.
A 16" brass crash/ride and a pair of 14" hybrid hi-hats, a brass and metal mix for a stronger "chick", cover time keeping, ride patterns and crash accents. They are a great place-holder for the early learning phase, ready to upgrade as you grow.
The drums are wrapped in durable Red Wine PVC, which holds up to frequent set-up, impact and tear-down. Two pairs of 5A drum sticks, a Pearl stick bag and a Pearl drum poster complete the package.
