Tama WP148BK-NZW Woodworks 14″x8″ Snare Drum – Natural Zebrawood Wrap

Deep 14″x8″ Shell — More Body and Presence

The 14″x8″ size gives this snare a deeper, fuller response compared to standard depths.

It produces a stronger low-end body with a wider backbeat, making it feel more powerful without becoming overly aggressive. The added depth also helps create a more controlled sustain, giving the drum a solid and grounded character.

8-Ply Poplar Shell — Warm and Controlled Tone

At the core is an 8mm, 8-ply poplar shell, known for its naturally warm and balanced sound.

Poplar sits between bright and dark tonal ranges, offering a full, rounded tone with a medium attack. It doesn’t ring excessively, making it easier to control and more forgiving across different tuning ranges.

This makes it a reliable choice for players who want a musical, consistent snare sound without excessive overtones.

Art Grain Zebrawood Wrap — Visual Character

The shell is finished with a natural zebrawood Art Grain wrap, giving it a distinctive, wood-inspired appearance.

It adds visual depth and character to your kit while maintaining durability for regular use.

Matte Black Hardware — Clean and Modern Look

The snare is fitted with matte black hardware, creating a strong visual contrast against the zebrawood finish.

This gives the drum a clean, modern appearance while maintaining durability and consistency in performance.

Triple Flanged Hoops — Balanced Response

The triple flanged hoops provide a controlled, open feel with good rimshot response.

They allow the drum to resonate naturally while keeping the overall tone manageable and easy to tune.

20-Strand Snare Wires — Defined Sensitivity

Equipped with 20-strand steel snare wires, the drum delivers a crisp, responsive snare sound across different dynamics.

It maintains clarity for lighter playing while still responding well to stronger hits.
