The I Family Expression Pack 1 adds two new voices to an existing kit: a trashy effects crash and a 17-inch crash.
14" Trash Crash
The 14-inch Trash Crash gives a fast, trashy accent for fills and effects.
Doubles as a hi-hat top
Zildjian also sells this cymbal as a hi-hat top, so it can be paired with a hi-hat bottom for a trashier hi-hat sound.
17" Crash
The 17-inch I Crash adds another crash voice with a bright, quick response.
The I Family
The I Family takes its name from Ilham, the Turkish word for inspiration. It replaced Zildjian's ZBT series as the entry point to Zildjian bronze, with modern weights and sizes, hammering and extensive lathing. The cymbals are made from B8 bronze with a Traditional finish.
