Pearl D-790 Drum Throne

The Pearl D-790 Drum Throne is a solid and reliable entry-level to mid-range drum throne from Pearl’s Roadster series, designed to offer essential comfort and dependable stability for aspiring drummers, students, and those needing a straightforward, robust seat for practice and light gigging.1 It’s built with quality materials to ensure a consistent and supportive drumming experience.

Comfortable Round Seat

The D-790 features a round top vinyl seat that is well-padded to provide a comfortable seating surface.2 This classic round shape offers freedom of movement and a familiar feel, making it suitable for a wide range of drummers.3 The durable vinyl covering is easy to clean and offers a good level of grip, helping to keep the drummer securely in place during play.4

Dependable Stability with Double-Braced Legs

Stability is a key attribute of the D-790. It is constructed with double-braced tripod legs, which provide a significantly more robust and secure foundation compared to single-braced thrones.5 This heavy-duty design minimizes wobble and prevents the throne from shifting, even during more energetic playing. Each leg is equipped with large, slip-resistant rubber feet that ensure a firm grip on various floor surfaces, offering reliable stability during practice and performance.6

Secure Height Adjustment

The D-790 utilizes a pin-lock height adjustment system. This common and reliable mechanism allows drummers to easily set their preferred playing height by inserting a pin into pre-drilled holes in the inner tubing. This system is straightforward to operate and ensures that the throne maintains its set height without slipping during use. The height range is designed to accommodate a good variety of drummer heights and setup requirements.7

Road-Ready Durability

As part of the Roadster series, the D-790 is built to be durable.8 Its heavy-duty steel construction throughout its base and components ensures it can withstand the rigors of regular use and transport, making it a reliable companion for lessons, rehearsals, and casual gigs.
