Pearl D-3500 Drum Throne

The Pearl D-3500 Drum Throne is a premium seating solution from Pearl’s acclaimed Roadster series, meticulously designed for professional drummers who demand superior comfort, advanced ergonomic support, and unwavering stability during extended performances and practice sessions. It integrates innovative cushion technology with robust hardware to provide an unparalleled drumming foundation.

Ergonomic “Multi-Core” Saddle Seat

A standout feature of the D-3500 is its saddle-style seat, which incorporates Pearl’s advanced “Multi-Core Foam” technology. This revolutionary design uses multiple layers of varied density foam that are strategically tapered. This provides targeted support, eases joint pressure, and promotes optimal blood flow, significantly reducing fatigue even during the longest sessions. The seat is typically covered in a durable, slip-resistant vinyl or synthetic leather, ensuring a professional look, easy maintenance, and keeping the drummer securely positioned.

Rock-Solid Stability and Versatile Functionality

The D-3500 is built upon a foundation of rock-solid stability. It features double-braced tripod legs, a heavy-duty design that effectively minimizes wobble and prevents the throne from shifting, even during the most dynamic drumming. Each leg is equipped with large, slip-resistant rubber feet, ensuring a secure grip on various floor surfaces.

Pearl’s innovative Lock/Spin Reversible StopLock system is integrated into the throne’s design. This allows drummers to choose whether the seat cushion remains secured in a fixed position (for maximum stability) or is free to spin (for greater freedom of movement), depending on their preference and playing style.

Precise and Reliable Height Adjustment

Height adjustment on the D-3500 is handled by a manual spindle system. This threaded rod mechanism allows for extremely precise, micro-adjustments, enabling drummers to dial in their exact optimal ergonomic height. A sturdy memory clamp (or lock collar) securely fastens the throne at your chosen height, preventing any slippage or sinking during play. This feature also ensures quick and consistent setup every time. The height range is generous, typically from 495mm to 665mm (19.5″ to 26.2″), accommodating a wide spectrum of drummers and setups.

Optional Backrest Integration

While the D-3500 itself does not include a backrest, it is designed to be fully compatible with Pearl’s DTBR-1535 detachable backrest (sold separately). This allows drummers to add crucial lumbar support if desired, enhancing the ergonomic benefits for prolonged use.
