Pearl PBC-507 Gypsy Brown Matte Lacquer Cajon Primero Box

Warm Tones, Subtle Snares, and a Rustic Aesthetic for Every Groove

The Pearl PBC-507 Gypsy Brown Matte Lacquer Cajon Primero Box is a beautifully designed percussion instrument that delivers warm, earthy tones and a responsive playing feel, making it an excellent choice for a wide variety of musical settings. Part of Pearl’s Primero series, this cajon combines reliable construction with a charming, rustic aesthetic, perfect for acoustic performances, unplugged sessions, and studio recordings.

The cajon’s body is constructed from durable Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF), which provides a solid and resonant sound chamber, contributing to its robust bass response. The playing surface, or tapa, is crafted from Meranti wood, known for its relative hardness and straight grain, offering clear and articulate high tones and slaps. The distinguishing feature is its Gypsy Brown Matte Lacquer finish, which gives the cajon a rich, dark, natural wood look with a non-reflective, understated elegance. Inside, the cajon is equipped with two sets of fixed snare wires, strategically placed to deliver a subtle yet crisp snare sound that complements the woody tones without overpowering them. A patented, built-in, rear-facing bass port magnifies the low-end tone, delivering a deep and resonant bass sound. The Pearl PBC-507 Gypsy Brown Matte Lacquer Cajon Primero Box offers a great balance of sound quality, durability, and a warm, inviting visual appeal, making it a reliable and expressive instrument for any musician.
