Gappu Cratez (Music) Cajon

Expressive Rhythms, Inspired Design, and Authentic Percussion Power

The Gappu Cratez (Music) Cajon is a powerful and visually appealing percussion instrument designed for drummers and percussionists who want an authentic sound combined with an artistic expression of their passion for music. Part of Gappu’s “Cratez” series, which emphasizes a robust and resonant build, this cajon delivers deep bass and crisp highs that are perfect for acoustic sets, street performances, and studio recordings, all while celebrating musical themes with its “Music” graphic.

The cajon’s body is typically constructed from high-quality MDF or a similar dense wood composite, providing a sturdy and resonant sound chamber that ensures full bass response. The playing surface, or tapa, is crafted from a durable and responsive tropical hardwood veneer (such as Birch or Teak), offering excellent articulation for slaps and finger rolls. The standout feature is the hand-painted or printed “Music” graphic on the tapa, often incorporating musical notes, instruments, or abstract designs, giving the instrument a unique, inspiring, and artistic character. Inside, the Gappu Cratez (Music) Cajon is equipped with adjustable internal snare wires, allowing players to fine-tune the amount of sizzle and sensitivity, from a tight, crisp snare effect to a looser, more traditional woody tone. The rear sound port ensures powerful sound projection, making this cajon a commanding presence in any musical setting.
