Meinl Backbeat Crimson Stripe Bass Cajon

Deep Bass, Crisp Snares, and a Bold, Eye-Catching Look

The Meinl Backbeat Crimson Stripe Bass Cajon is an excellent choice for drummers and percussionists who desire a powerful low-end presence combined with a striking visual appeal. This cajon’s intelligent design incorporates a built-in bass port, strategically engineered to focus and amplify its bass tone. This results in a warm, impactful sound rich in earthy harmonics, making it ideal for acoustic performances, unplugged sessions, or recording where a robust and resonant low end is crucial. Its vibrant “Crimson Stripe” frontplate, often made of a beautifully stained wood like mahogany or a similar tropical hardwood, gives it a distinct and dynamic look on any stage.

The cajon’s robust MDF body coupled with the responsive frontplate provides a full spectrum of sounds, from deep, thumping bass notes to crisp, cutting snare slaps. Inside, adjustable micro-coiled steel strings create a vibrant snare tone, allowing you to fine-tune the sizzle and sensitivity from a sharp, contemporary snap to a more traditional, woody resonance. The conveniently placed bass port also makes it easy to mic the cajon, ensuring that your powerful bass notes are clearly captured and project with authority. The Meinl Backbeat Crimson Stripe Bass Cajon offers a harmonious blend of innovative sound projection, authentic resonance, and captivating looks, enriching your percussive expression.
