Meinl Backbeat Tropical Hardwood Bass Cajon

Deep Bass, Crisp Snares, and a Rich, Natural Sound

The Meinl Backbeat Tropical Hardwood Bass Cajon is an excellent choice for drummers and percussionists seeking a cajon that delivers powerful low-end punch without sacrificing articulate snare tones. This cajon features a specially designed built-in bass port, strategically located to focus and amplify its bass tone. This results in a warm, impactful sound rich in earthy harmonics, making it ideal for acoustic performances, unplugged sessions, or recording where a robust and resonant low end is desired.

The cajon’s body is constructed from durable MDF, paired with a beautiful and resonant Tropical Hardwood frontplate. This combination provides a responsive playing surface that contributes to a full spectrum of sounds, from deep, thumping bass notes to crisp, cutting snare slaps. Inside, adjustable micro-coiled steel strings create a vibrant snare tone, allowing you to fine-tune the sizzle and sensitivity to achieve anything from a sharp, contemporary snap to a more traditional, woody resonance. The conveniently placed bass port also makes it easy to mic the cajon, ensuring that your powerful bass notes are clearly captured and project with authority. The Meinl Backbeat Tropical Hardwood Bass Cajon offers a harmonious balance of innovative sound projection, authentic resonance, and natural aesthetics, enriching your percussive expression.
