Schlagwerk Wenge Multi-Clap

Schlagwerk Wenge Multi-Clap

The Versatile Hand Percussion: Crisp, Articulate Claps with Rich Wood Tones

The Schlagwerk Wenge Multi-Clap is an innovative and highly versatile hand percussion instrument designed to add a wide array of articulate clapping and clicking sounds to any musical context. Crafted by Schlagwerk, renowned for their high-quality wooden percussion, the Multi-Clap allows drummers and percussionists to produce diverse rhythmic accents, from sharp, dry clicks to full, resonant claps, all with ergonomic ease.

This unique instrument features multiple leaves or segments crafted from Wenge wood, a dense and highly resonant tropical hardwood prized for its distinct grain and bright, cutting tonal properties. The design allows for various playing techniques: striking the segments together by hand, pressing them against each other for a quick snap, or even shaking them for a shimmering effect. The resulting sounds range from crisp, castanet-like clicks to fuller, more percussive hand claps, offering a richer and more controlled sound than traditional hand clapping. The Wenge Multi-Clap is perfect for adding rhythmic punctuation to acoustic sets, world music, jazz, pop, or for studio work where precise and articulate percussive textures are desired. Its comfortable grip and versatile sound make it an indispensable tool for any percussionist’s arsenal.
