It is designed for drummers who want a substantial acoustic-style setup for serious practice, performance preparation and studio work.
The independently mounted 12-inch snare uses three-point triggering to keep response balanced across the head. Head strokes, rimshots and cross-sticks are available from the same pad, while the included snare stand lets you position it like an acoustic drum rather than locking it to the rack.
Three 10-inch dual-trigger tom pads give the kit consistent sizing and familiar rebound around the setup. Separate head and rim response expands the available articulations, while tensionable REMO mesh heads let you adjust the playing feel to suit your hands.
The 12-inch hi-hat mounts on its own stand and tracks open, closed and half-open positions for a more natural pedal relationship. Two 12-inch dual-trigger crashes support choking, and the 14-inch three-zone ride separates bow, edge and bell playing for more expressive patterns.
The independent 10-inch mesh kick tower offers the space required for double-pedal setups. NUX includes a double-chain kick pedal with a reinforced baseplate, giving the beater a stable path and helping the assembly stay planted during heavier playing.
The colour-display module puts dedicated group faders at your fingertips, so the balance of kick, snare, toms, hi-hat and cymbals can be shaped without menu diving. Choose from 36 preset kits, save 12 user setups and freely assign the available sounds to pad heads and rims.
The DM-8 doubles as a USB audio and MIDI interface. It can send up to 14 separate audio tracks to compatible recording software, making it possible to mix kit elements independently, while MIDI can trigger software drums for studio production or live performance.
Import up to 99 WAV samples from a USB flash drive and assign them to the kit. Per-pad EQ, compression, overdrive and reverb, plus master processing, provide further shaping. Built-in songs, metronome, coach tools, Bluetooth audio and MIDI, AUX input and USB-memory recording support focused practice and fast demo recording.
