Shells That Sing: The Gretsch Formula
The magic lies in the 7-ply Gretsch Formula Maple shells.
30-Degree Bearing Edges: Unlike the sharp 45-degree edges found on most modern drums, Gretsch uses a vintage-style 30-degree edge. This increases the surface area between the head and shell, producing a warmer, rounder, and more "woody" tone that engineers love.
Silver Sealer Interiors: Open a tom, and you'll see the famous silver paint. This proprietary sealer protects the wood and adds a focused "snap" to the sound, ensuring your drums project clearly through dense mixes.

No, this is a Shell Pack. It includes the 6 drums and the tom mounting hardware (for the bass drum). You will need to purchase cymbal stands, a snare stand, a hi-hat stand, a kick pedal, and a throne separately.
What heads come on the kit?
The Renown ships with professional Remo Emperor Clear batter heads on the toms and a Powerstroke 3 on the bass drum. You get great sound right out of the box!
Is the finish a wrap or lacquer?
The Satin Tobacco Burst (STN) is a premium matte lacquer finish. It looks sophisticated and allows the shell to resonate more freely than a plastic wrap.
