Iron Cobra Power Glide Cam Shape, Adjustable Beater Angle — More Power and Speed for Less.

The Iron Cobra cam shape at an accessible price

Tama's Standard pedal uses the same offset cam shape as the Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide for more power and speed, with an easily adjustable beater angle, a feature usually found on more expensive pedals.

Power Glide offset cam

The single chain drive turns an offset cam with the same shape as Tama's best-selling Iron Cobra Power Glide. It gives you increased power and speed as the beater reaches the end of the stroke.

Adjustable beater angle

You won't find adjustable beater and footboard angles on most pedals in this price range. The HP30 comes standard with an angle adjustment system linked to the footboard angle, so you can set the throw you want.

Spring Tight keeps the action smooth

Twisting springs reduce pedal smoothness. Spring Tight, a half-moon shaped spring tension rod, keeps the spring from twisting so there's no loss of power transmission.

Two sounds from one beater

The DS30 dual-sided beater lets you choose your sound by rotating the head: the felt side for a softer, controlled sound, or the plastic side for a louder, punchier sound with more attack.

Product FAQ

What is included?

The Tama HP30 single pedal with its DS30 dual-sided beater.

How does it compare with the Iron Cobra 200?

Both use the Power Glide offset cam shape. The Iron Cobra 200 is built on the same design principles as Tama's Iron Cobra 900, as the next step up. Ask us to try them side by side in the showroom.

Is there a double pedal version?

Yes, the HP30TW. Use the selector on this page to switch between the single and double pedal.
