Vic Firth Nova 5A Black Nylon Tip Drum Sticks

Vic Firth Nova 5A Black Nylon Tip Drum Sticks

The Versatile Classic in a Sleek Black with Durable Nylon Tip

The Vic Firth Nova 5A Black Nylon Tip Drum Sticks offer the quintessential feel and balance of the immensely popular 5A model, now part of Vic Firth’s value-oriented Nova series, featuring a durable nylon tip and a sleek black finish. Nova sticks are crafted from B-stock hickory, meaning they might have minor cosmetic imperfections but retain the structural integrity and playability that drummers expect from Vic Firth. This makes them an excellent choice for practice, students, or gigging drummers looking for reliable performance with a distinctive visual appeal and without a premium price tag.

The 5A is widely regarded as the most versatile drumstick size, providing a perfect equilibrium for nearly any musical genre. The durable nylon teardrop tip is a key feature, providing a brighter, more articulate sound on cymbals, making ride patterns incredibly clear and defined. On drums, it delivers a sharp, clean attack. Unlike wood tips that can chip or fray, the nylon tip maintains its shape and sound consistently, even after extended use. The black finish adds a cool, understated aesthetic, making these sticks stand out subtly on stage or in the practice room.
