Sixteen-strand regular carbon steel snare wires suit the smaller 10-inch head, and 6-hole triple flanged hoops with MSL60 lugs keep tuning quick and straightforward. The MUS65 strainer lets you set wire tension and switch the snares off.

What is included?
The 10"x5.5" snare drum with heads and snare wires fitted. A snare stand and sticks are sold separately.
Can I use it as my main snare?
Most drummers use a 10-inch snare as a side or effects snare alongside their main 14-inch snare. It also suits small, portable setups where a compact snare is an advantage.
How do I mount it?
On a snare stand that adjusts down to hold a 10-inch drum, or on a clamp-on snare holder. Ask us and we will recommend the right stand or mount for your setup.
Is there a 14-inch version?
Yes. The Metalworks 14"x6.5" (BST1465BK) has the same matte black look as a full-size main snare. Use the Size selector on this page to switch between them.
What is the shell made of?
Steel, with a matte black finish. The lugs, hoops and strainer are matte black to match.
