The Tama Starclassic Performer series upholds a legacy of professional performance and exceptional value, designed for drummers who demand acoustic versatility and robust features. This 6-piece shell pack is built with innovative Maple/Birch hybrid shells, meticulously crafted to deliver the warmth of maple with the clarity and bite of birch. Tom toms, floor toms, and the snare feature 6-ply, 6mm shells (4-ply birch + 2-ply maple), while the bass drum boasts a thicker 7-ply, 7mm construction (5-ply birch + 2-ply maple). Fine 45° bearing edges on toms and snare contribute to a pronounced attack and enhanced sustain.

This kit is equipped with advanced hardware for superior tone and playability. Die-cast hoops provide clear, punchy tones, a crisper attack, and superior tuning consistency. The renowned Star-Cast Mounting System ensures maximum resonance and stability by suspending toms from their hoops, allowing shells to vibrate freely. Low-mass lugs minimize contact with the shell, further enhancing resonance. The included MC69 Single Tom Attachments, part of Tama’s L-Rod and Omnisphere systems, offer easy, flexible, and stable positioning. Rubber-based claw hooks stabilize the bass drum hoops and reduce noise, while Air Pocket Rubber Feet on floor tom legs eliminate floor vibration for better sustain.

The comprehensive 6-piece configuration includes a 22″x16″ bass drum, 10″x7″ and 12″x8″ tom toms, 14″x12″ and 16″x14″ floor toms, and a matching 14″x5.5″ snare drum. Each drum comes factory-equipped with quality EVANS and TAMA drumheads, providing an impressive sound straight out of the box.
