Gappu Cratez (Skull) Cajon

Raw Energy, Distinctive Look, and Authentic Percussion Power

The Gappu Cratez (Skull) Cajon is a powerful and visually striking percussion instrument designed for drummers and percussionists who want a raw, authentic sound combined with a bold, expressive aesthetic. Part of Gappu’s “Cratez” series, which emphasizes a robust and resonant build, this cajon delivers deep bass and crisp highs that are perfect for acoustic sets, street performances, and studio recordings, all while making a distinct visual statement with its “Skull” graphic.

The cajon’s body is typically constructed from high-quality MDF or a similar dense wood composite, providing a sturdy and resonant sound chamber that ensures full bass response. The playing surface, or tapa, is crafted from a durable and responsive tropical hardwood veneer (such as Birch or Teak), offering excellent articulation for slaps and finger rolls. The standout feature is the hand-painted or printed “Skull” graphic on the tapa, giving the instrument a unique, edgy, and artistic character. Inside, the Gappu Cratez (Skull) Cajon is equipped with adjustable internal snare wires, allowing players to fine-tune the amount of sizzle and sensitivity, from a tight, crisp snare effect to a looser, more traditional woody tone. The rear sound port ensures powerful sound projection, making this cajon a commanding presence in any musical setting.
