The double chain drive gains tension gradually through the stroke as you press the pedal. The Quick Adjusting Cam slides into three positions, C1 to C3, so you can fine-tune the action to the way you play: moving from C1 to C3 lightens the initial tension for an easier start to each stroke.
The durable, reliable double chain moves fluidly for a smooth, consistent stroke. Nylon belts are included for both pedals, so you can switch to belt drive for a different feel without buying anything extra.
The frame and bearing cover are each smoothed and precision-made before assembly, so they line up exactly with the central axis of the shaft and ball bearings. The result is a smooth, even rotation on every stroke (U.S. Pat. 10529306).
The Low Profile Stabilizing Hinge is smoothed and precision-made before assembly for smooth footboard movement, and ball bearings at the tip of each footboard (Ball Bearing Drive Connection) make the action smoother still.
The Easy Access Auto Lock spring adjustment moves the knob up where you can reach it, which makes the usually fiddly job of setting spring tension simple. The knob locks at a 90-degree angle, so it can't loosen itself mid-gig (U.S. Pat. 10360881).
Add weight to the beater to get the sound and feel you want. Aluminium (3g) and brass (9g) weights clip on and off easily, and two of each come with the pedal (one set per beater). (U.S. Pat. 9685146)
Set the beater angle and the footboard angle independently and freely, so you can get the reach and throw you like. The built-in angle checker makes it easy to find your settings again after transport or a change of kit.
Newly designed universal joints have ball bearings on every axis. Their seamlessly smooth rotation dramatically improves the action and operability of the secondary pedal, so it responds smoothly under your other foot.
Anti-skid spikes on the heel of the main pedal (U.S. Pat. 9691367) and on the secondary pedal anchor stop either side from creeping, for stable, confident playing.
The pedal comes in its own semi-hard carrying case, with a drum key, so it travels safely between gigs and rehearsals.
