This snare is a great example of what the S.L.P. concept is all about. The combination of an all-maple shell, Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon snare wires and triple-flanged Sound Arc Hoops results in a fully open, resonant drum with clear, warm projection, crisp attack and sensitivity.
The 8-ply, 7mm maple shell is finished in Super Maple lacquer, for maple's warm, clear voice.
Inspired by the "stick saver" hoops used on select vintage snare drums, the edges of the 2.3mm Sound Arc Hoops bend inward to enhance the natural tone of the drum and give increased sensitivity, precision and control.
MTL50 S.L.P. brass tube lugs give the drum its classic look.
Redesigned with new materials, a custom end plate shape and a new coil winding pattern, Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon snare wires fit more closely to the snare-side head for greater sensitivity and a brighter, crisper sound. Ghost notes and soft rolls come through clearly.
The Linear-Drive strainer moves the snare wires in a true linear motion, so even if you throw the lever quickly, you will not hear the typical slap of the wires hitting the bottom head.
The 14"x5.5" snare drum with heads and snare wires fitted. A snare stand and sticks are sold separately.
An 8-ply, 7mm all-maple shell in Super Maple lacquer.
Triple-flanged 2.3mm hoops whose edges bend inward, inspired by vintage "stick saver" hoops, to enhance the drum's natural tone and give more sensitivity, precision and control.
