Built for the player who wants a snare with incredibly warm, resonant tone and crisp, clear attack, the 6.5" deep Studio Maple produces a warm, mellow sound with sensitivity and rich resonance.
100% maple wood hoops
Newly designed 100% maple wood hoops, coated with urethane for durability, are 22mm thick. They give a warm sound and powerful attack, especially on rimshots.
Maple shell with Sound Focus Rings
The 6-ply, 5mm all-maple shell has Sound Focus Rings and is finished in Sienna lacquer.
Starclassic lugs
Chrome MSL-SCT Starclassic lugs hold the 8-hole wood hoops.
Starclassic snare wires
Twenty-strand Starclassic carbon steel snare wires give a crisp, sensitive response. Starclassic snare wires are designed so that, as you add tension, the strands press closer to the snare head, and redesigned end plates and thinner straps give optimum response.
Linear-Drive strainer
The Linear-Drive strainer moves the snare wires in a true linear motion, so even if you throw the lever quickly, you will not hear the typical slap of the wires hitting the bottom head.
